Tel Aviv, Israel — If I’ve ever encountered something mis-named, it’s this statue. Located on the corner of Dizengoff and Gordon, the statue’s name says “The Family”, but its look speaks differently. I’ve been known to shield the eyes of small children passing by to the irksome response of their parents, but dear God, what is this pornography! Have the city planners of Tel Aviv no shame, no sense of decency? If you’re not going to move it to the back room of some warehouse, then at least rename it. I’d go with “The Dirty Act Oddly Involving a Small Child or, Hopefully, an Inanimate Doll.”
